When I was at the track 2 weeks ago I ran 2 bags of ice. I did a run with it iced and one with-out icing and noted almost 2/10'* of a second difference in time. But waiting in the staging line really heats it up again so shut the car off while waiting and restart just long enough to move forward until your at the lights.

I just walked in the door from pulling the upper intake manifold off my 1992 SE and was going to ask if I could port it and put it on my 1994 SLE, but then I saw this posting.
So it'* a no-go for my 1994? If so, anyone wanna buy a 1992 upper intake manifold and have it ported and polished? I'd bet it'd be worth a few hp and some torque. Anyhow, it'* the intake manifold with the tb still attached, but the TPS, and MAF sensors are both gone.
Gosh, I really wanted to paint it green and put it on my car, but now I have to settle for the stock 1994 plastic intake. :( :(

is there anyway someone could like run a couple lines around the intake and then have it come to a box somewhere where you drop dry ice pellets in and then dump in some water...it smokes and then teh smoke could go through the lines and cool down the intake for a run or somethin? would somethin like that work?
