battery relocation
i was wondering how difficult it would be to relocate the battery back into the front of the car. comparing it with the grand prix, it'* about a second slower than the gp cause of a few problems; wheel size, weight; lighter front end due to alot of aluminum, and the battery is under the backseat. get that 50lb hunk of lead over the front tires and i think it would help with traction?? no??

actually INTENSE owns the car, and Ed Morad just drove it
Bad SSEi at least when i saw it 06, inside the Intense shop (and i have pics of the engine bay) never had the battery under the hood
and the claim that the 00+ are a second slower are not that accurate, i ran 14.9-14.8 bone stock, and that is right on what a GP runs stock
plus i have ran at the track and its not as bad as people claim it is....i pull consistent sub 2.2'* (with good track conditions) on sterrt tires, i have even pulled a 1.9 before....
learn to launch the car rather than move parts around

sorry i was unsure of the ownership of the car, and if you go on the intense website and look at "team members" and look at ed morad you'll see clearly that the battery is on the driver side right around where the old filter box used to be. and as for the bonneville being slower than the gp, theres a good write up on the intense website that expalins the differences between the two cars and why one is slower, they are all good reasons, bigger wheels; more rotating mass, takes more hp to turn the wheel, more restrictive pcm, the list goes on, just read the intense write up, or i guess i'll justa have to learcn how to launch the car rather than just moving things around......

With your new motor and the mods in your sig. You shouldn't have much trouble getting the car moving except traction.
Then get new injectors you mentioned on the other forum and downsize the pulley. Most of the year you should be cool enough to run a 3.2"

Yes, Newfie, there is room to install a battery where the OEM airbox is but you will also notice that BadSSEi has the air intake routed through the front light. BadSSEi was not driven on the street.
I have my Water injection tank mounted there but my intake is unique. You could do something similar with a battery.
Are you making a race strip car only or do you want a daily driver :?:
Concentrate on removing weight from the rear instead of relocating it.

If you still wanna go with this idea, then you may want to look at the G/H body Park avenue years (97-05) they had the battery under the hood and are the same body as the 00-05 Bonneville.
