It doesn't matter if there is a module already in it or not. You need the one from your original PCM
for your timing and everything to be accurate. I'm suprised you haven't gotten a SES light. Thats why the 97'* don't need a case learn, because the case learn is in that module. I know one of the negatives of not having a case learn is that the PCM can be off on the timing 2 degrees either way, so you could be getting 2 more or 2 less degrees of timing than you think.
