Default Will Grand Prix Downpipe fit my Bonnie?

Greetings!

Recently while on our lovely Forum, I came across the link [www.jimmycracing.com] for a source for downpipes. Mind you, they're designed with GP'* in mind, but I'm wondering if I could use one on my '93 SE [in particular the JimmC v1]
....Right now, as far as mods go, I've put on a CAI, removed the MAF screen, cleaned the MAF sensor, cleaned the TB, & new wires/plugs...I've got a Magnaflow CAT waiting to be put on in the wings and a Magnaflow muffler picked out. I don't know if I am going to go so far as having my exhaust manifolds ported or headers put on.
My understanding is that the stock DP is a huge restriction on our cars. Is this correct?...Because if it is, then when I put on the new CAT, I could put on the new downpipe.....But, will it fit?!!!...Has anyone here tried it?
When I posed the same question[*] to 'Jimmy' here was his reply:

'To be 100% honest, I don't know. I don't know how the firewall is. I
don't know if the manifolds are the same.

I'll tell you what. If you buy one and it doesn't fit, I am willing to
buy it back from you.

James '

Any ideas?...'Cause even though $165 sounds reasonable, it seems like it could be a big waste of time/energy!...or is there a source for DPs specifically for our cars?

Totally different chassis and exhaust arrangement. My bet is no, but it'* possible. Some of the aftermarket downpipes are flex. One of those may work.

I'm guessing it wouldnt fit. The degree angle would probably be less than an H-body.
A downpipe is nothing special, just some pipe.
A good exhaust shop should be able to make one for you, and much cheaper than 165$.

Well the 93 n/a engine has a 1" taller deck height than the series 2 so it will probably be 1 inch from lineing up with the rear exhaust manifold. My 95 series 2 rear manifold had a different flange on the rear exhuast manifold then the w-body so i doubt the jimmy c flange will be the same as yours.
I mean you could buy it and probably make it fit by welding on a new flange.
You'll definitely need to weld it to the rest of your exhuast though.
Your looking at a 2.5" right?

I would imagine so: nothing to gain, and perhaps something to lose, by having it larger...But is it true that the downpipe is a big restriction on our cars?...And if it'* only some pipe [ie easy to have made] then why don't I ever see anybody on this Forum listing it as part of their Mods?

I put TOG'* w/ the TOG downpipe and a 3" in/out cat on my car that was perviously on a GP. There was no problem welding it up. So it seems like a safe bet that the pems and jimmy c DP would fit a 95-99 series 2 bonnie. But it will have to be welded to the rest of the exhaust.

yea, because i was going to get the grand prix pem'* and just the basic dp. To connect the rear to the cat and weld it. You had a grand prix rear was there any problems. Because the jimmy c is made for grand prixs so it would match to it. Just give me some more info.
