I am willing to make a series 1 intake for those interested. I had a fellow in the past that was going to make them for me but was not able to maintain contact so I will be glad to produce a product. I can make it cheap in price as well so that the cost is not inhibiting. . Before I start I need input on what you the Bonneville public would be interested in: cone size, location, shield price and other issues. I know of all the cheap do it yourself options and I don’t plan to offer them or to mimic them. I am also willing to offer one off products so if there is only small interest there will still be the option of a proper CAI. Intrested?

Being that I have a '95 SSEi series 1 SC I would be interested. As far as cone sze, location, etc... I don't know quite enough myself about them to give any specs on what exactly I would need/want. I'm just looking for the cheapest HP I can get.

MOST DEFINITELY!! A 8 inch cone I think should be suffice. I have a series 2 3800 and there is a lot of room over there when the original system is yanked so position isn't really an issue for me. What price point are you looking at keeping this at?

Ok budda you have a series 2 that already has a product available. I also know that angry duck racing will be offering something soon for the series 2. I will be offering the Angry Duck CAI once it is out. If for some reason this never happens I will be glad to make one. I am fairly sure the angry duck product will not be too pricey. I will build a series 1 prototype on my friend’* 1995 ssei and then show some pics and give you some idea of cost.

That’* enough for me ill make a prototype and on a 1995 series 1 SC, and also make a separate one or use the same one for the older 87-91 Bonneville’*. I am not sure yet if a CAI for a 1995 Bonneville series1 will fit on the older 87-91 Bonneville’*.

Ya know, you might consider making 2 prototypes. Just in case you wanted to test it on a 93SSEi. Just in case the 95 and 93 are different.....yeah, that'* the ticket, DIFFERENT. I might even know someone with a 93 who'd be willing to test it......lives about 800 miles north of you........are you buying any of this bullshit, Ty?

I think they will fit but I am not sure. I know the diameter of the throttle body is the same and I don't think anything in under the hood is different enough to make clearence issues.

If you need me to measure anything in particular I can.

Here'* some pics for u guys, hopefully it can generate some opinions and/or ideas on how you want your cold air intake built. I built this one for my 1994 buick lesabre with the series 1 3800. I used a 9 inch k&n cone, the air inlet duct from a series 2 3800, and some straight muffler piping from napa to extend the cone to the front, right behind the headlight. Sort of in the same place that the stock airbox took its air from.



The reason i used the series 2 inlet duct is because it has the IAT sensor built into it were it connects to the MAF duct, and since the IAT sensor on series 1 motors is built into the air box if u remove it,u remove the sensor and doing it this way by just extending the 2 wires, will send the most correct signal to the ecm, as seen in this pic.
