Foghorn likes it!

I have the vents primed almost black now (primer/sealer) and the cutout edges of the hood too to prevent rust for the time being. The contrast is much more muted now, and the look has totally changed. I'll try to get a pic up today. Screens are installed in the vents too, but I still haven't done the front two vents yet.

I like the vents and had thought about adding vents to the 93 but to let cooler air in the car because i had no ac and my thought was to have a shutter to match the vents so i could open and close them when needed by a turn of a **** or switch like the old cars did before A/C

These first two vents I installed exhaust a TON of hot air off the rear manifold and alternator, especially if I have the fan override on. It should increase when the front vents are installed. Convection should cause a natural draw from front to rear even at idle.

I realize Optimus needs little advice, but i just want to say when you sand your hood down, sand it all the way down to bare metal. Dad and I repainted a hood with flaking clearcoat but we only sanded it down to the primer and now you can still see in the paint where the clear coat had flaked before.

You have to use a sealer, not just a primer-sealer to hide that. I'll be prepping and priming, but I'll leave it to the body shop to take the prep to the next level. My priming right now is only to prevent rust on the new cut edges until I can get the whole thing off to paint.
