Default Help! (shopping)

Ok let me try this again, my first try wasn't specific enough.
(moderators feel free to delete my ohter supercharger post)

I am looking for the following items:

a new supercharger that is better than the factory stock supercharger I have now on my 1994 Bonneville SSEi.

a good racing chip that will add 20+ horsepower.

If i can get direct links to websites that sell these items that would be great and i would love you forever. Thanks a bunch.

there is nothing that you car slap on your L67 supercharger wise that will flow more than the M62 that is on there.

there is nothing that is made for the 94/95 bonne because the PCM is a hybrid OBD1.5

sorry

Nobody has ever put on an aftermarket supercharger for Series I engines that we know of. The best way to get more power out of those is to put a smaller pulley at the end of the snout. Check out www.pulleyboys.com for one. You would want to get a 2.5" pulley. You will need some other mods to support that.

As for the chip, you would need to find a place to get a custom burn. There really isn't much out there for Series I engines.

That is really too bad.

why a 2.5'' pulley instead of a 2.2''?

Also what about www.superchips.com for a new chip?

There are two version of your supercharger (M62). One version was used on the 92-93 cars, which had a stock pulley of 2.5". It isn't as efficient as the 94-95 blowers which have a 2.8" stock pulley. The 92-93 need to go down to a 2.2" for a good increase in power, and the 94-95 need to go down to a 2.5". If you go any lower than that without an intercooler, you will see a lot of KR (knock retard), and possibly hurt your engine very badly.

There is a lot of physics behind this, and I'm sure others will come in and explain it a bit better. But if you want a nice gain in power, go with the 2.5, and get yourself a good intake, and colder thermostat.

Alot of people on this site have had problems with superchips. i didn't but i have a totally diffrent engine from you.
talk to www.gmtuners.com for a custom chip. It requires alot of data recording on your part to make a good chip though. Pay close attention when requesting certian changes because you could be shifting out of your powerband, advancing timing too much, and so on.

Click on 'links' at the top of the page for rebuilt superchargers, or go to www.rollingperformance.com for the rebuild parts to rebuild your own back to factory specs.

OK mods for SER1s PM DrJay...he can hook you straight up!
BTW dont EVER go to superchips, they wont sell you a chip if you have ANY mods to your car, also they havent put very much R&D into there product for the 94-95 L67. GmTuners will do one, but as sta said you have to provide scantool info, and it would be a really good idea to get a dyno run to give them to reference for spark and fuel maps. The mods are out there to make a 13 second car, but you just have to spend tha dollas!
