I've heard that removing the screen can improve performance on a stock engine. I've also heard that it can hurt you engine. Who can give me a strait answer about the MAF screen.

I removed mine, and have had no problems at all so far. The Idle is fine and at least feels like I have more power. But I also gutted my airbox and removed most of the front end of it, so that may have helped some.

Got some pix MOS95B?
I've done my ram air (well not TRUE ram air, but i don't want to cut my box yet). My ducting doesn't hook up to my intake, but it'* end is curved at it, so i don't have to cut anything, and rocks, birds, small children don't get sucked into my intake. Thanks!
