I'm sure we all have on the street, but I was just curious if anyone has gone to a 1/4 mile track and gotten some times? If so it'd be interesting to know and also what mods u have. Might help in finding out what mods are the best.
P.*. Does anyone know what a 90 SSE would run...high 16'* @ 82-84ish?

On the same note, the track at Rock Falls, WI is having a $35 day on June 8. Rock Falls is near Eau Claire, WI, which is about an hour east of Minneapolis.
For all of you near the Twin Cities, this would be a great opportunity to run at a 1/4 mile strip.

I went to the track last summer a few times and was running mid 15'* with a best of 15.3@ 92mph. I just went again last week and could only pull a 15.8 @ 86mph. My front tires are just about gone so i was getting 2.3 sec 60 fot times which hurt my times.

I just went to the drags in the start of the season and my times were
2.4 60 footers
and 16.00 @ 87 mph
engine was semi hot.
i dropped 4 tenths from bone stock.
list of mods to get 16 flat is...
K&N cone into stock rubber hose,4 tip bosh plugs, heat shield, new fuel filter,8.8 accell race wires, ram air.
that was about it. nothing major but definately better than stock.
my estimates w/
new exhaust/ better CAI /rockers /ported throttle body/=/=.6 et drop so that should be nice. then when my warrenty expires, a shift kit.
also i live about 600 ft above sea level.

I just ran mine yesterday and ran 3 - 14.9 runs and 1 - 15.0 run. I was getting 2.2 - 2.3 60 ft. times which I couldn't believe because I was spinning well past the 60 ft. mark. I ran yesterday in full street form. Once I the DHP pcm is released and I get it I plan on going back and removing the headlight and taking out the extra stuff in the car. (car seats, stroller, spare tire and jack and other things the wife leaves in car) I might also try race gas to get the computer to leave timing in. I also still need to build the CAI because now that it is above 60 degrees I can tell how much the engine hot air is affecting performance.

Cool stuff man. 14.9'* is pretty quick, even more so for a full size sedan like the Bonneville. Once u take a few lbs out of it and do a little tweaking here and there I'm sure mid 14'* are right there. Looks like u have bragging rights for this club right now Keep up the good work...L8r...Andru.

14.9 stock for a SSEi... that'* pretty good except that you had alot of stuff out of the car so really you run like a 15.3 on the street with all your stuff in. Oh, and odds are race gas will hurt you more than it will help since your cars computer will not be able to get used to it and run properly.

Oh no I wasn't stock running 14.9'*. I have a 3.4 pulley, Flowmaster muffler, and a open cone filter. I think the open cone filter was hurting me so I am going to gut the air box and put it back in. I also was in full street trim. I was the only 1 I saw going down the track with 2 car seats in and a stroller in the trunk. I also left the headlight in which I think taking it out would've helped a lot with the open cone filter. I am waiting for the DHP pcm to come out then I will go back out and see what it runs with extra weight removed and headlight out. I also may try some racing fuel. The guy from the club I am in gained about .1 by running the racing fuel. The DHP pcm isn't due out until August but I will let everyone know how it goes.
