Maybe the lines too, as they might be longer to compensate for the extra inch

Do the GXP and SSEi both have these same master cylinder? Are the lines the same thickness all the way around?

I wouldn't worry about the MC, you will have better braking just with the new calipers and rotors, maybe people upgrade to F-body calipers on GPs, those came on Cameros and Firebirds because they have MASSIVE pads and don't touch any other parts of the system other maybe a new rear setup

I have absolutely no clue what you just said. Please revise that with some punctuation.

sorry I was in a bit of a rush when I typed that, here it is again

a lot of people upgrade to F-body calipers on GPs, they originally came on Cameros and Firebirds and they have MASSIVE pads so they don't upgrade any other parts of the braking system other than maybe some new rear calipers and rotors

Got it, thanks.

I've always wondered about this kind of stuff. There'* a guy on my w-body forums who has managed to retrofit the GXP brakes on our cars, which originally come with 11.25" front brakes. 13" brakes are quite an upgrade. However, all he'* doing is welding on new brackets and using the GXP rotors, pads, and calipers.

While that'* a larger comparison than it would be with these cars, I'm wondering what the braking performance of a Bonneville with GXP brakes on it would be compared to a Bonneville GXP'* brakes.

so far im the only one to do the Full GXP Brakes AND suspension swap to a SSEi. being the SSEi and the GXP weigh about the same, i would say the SSEi has the advantage with stopping, because of the slightly lighter, and smaller wheels

Have you actually measured the 60-0 times and compared a swapped suspension and brakes from a GXP on an SSEi to an actual GXP?

What I'm trying to figure out is if there'* more of a difference in the actual braking **system** between a GXP and an SSEi aside from the rotors, calipers, pads, and brackets.

no all other systems are the same, the RPO codes are the same "JL9". There are NO differences in the SSEi with GXP brakes than a GXP with GXP brakes

Found some calipers at the junk yard, the guy says an 05 SE and 05 GXP are the same dual piston caliper is this true. And are the brackets the same as well
