well i finished gutting my airbox today, and i need to know what you guys think, i havent really got to open it up good yet, but it feels a tad faster, maybe a bit more throttle response than anything. heres what i did:
i removed the resonator from the back portion as well as the one from the front portion
i didnt like the tiny inlet hold in the front so i cut around that entire area and made about a 4x3 or so square hole....its hard to explain and i wish i had pics but im sorry.
on cold start this thing is freaking loud, i started it with the hood up and it was whining like crazy, in a good way
i shut the hood and i dont think it got any quieter at all!
do you guys think maybe things are too turbulent now? i would think that while going through the accordion tube things would even out, and then going through the MAF screen would take car of the rest...
whats really cool is that you can sorta hear the butterfly valve open now on a quick throttle stab, almost sounds like a turbo wastegate for a split second, very cool....i couldnt open it up at all on the gravel because that leads to a spinning, gravel throwing, torque steering fit! but its always done that.
questions? comments? anything?
