Default Gtech times and discussion.

Been messing around with a Gtech pro comp (now upgraded to RR) and have gotten some interesting times.

I've been getting a solid 2.7 60' (never on great roads to tell you the truth). 1/4s were 15.9 at first, but with some acetone it was a lil faster. But Instead of shifting out of 2nd on one run @ smellbirds last weekend, i left it in 2nd until the run was done, and got a 15.749 @ 90.09 MPH. I've gotten 0-60 at 7.8 on good launches as well, 8 on bad ones.

My setup is 3800 lbs for my 93 with about 50 lbs in the trunk, and me (190). These times aren't earth shattering, but the 0-60 does seem lower then I would've expected. My car does seem to be performing better then it did last year (it'* been hit with basic internal engine cleaning). I will download some runs to my laptop sometime this weekend if I get bored...

Anyone else playing with one of these at the moment? Bill use it in the honda?

Ive got a buddy thats got a g-tech so Ive played with it a few times. Ive gotten about 7.6 0-60 and turned 15.68 to 15.73 at 87.4 to 88 mph with the bonneville. My 96 Cutlass (RIP) with the 3100 turned a 15.97 at 84mph with a 7.5 0-60 believe it. That 3100 was like a bat out of hell to 60 then crocked

With the cutlass I ran a 16.2 at 83.2 mph at the track on a 72 degree very humid evening. The night I ran the cutlass on the g-tech it was 38 with very low humidity. I guess alot of people are skeptical about the g-techs but from what Ive seen from them on alot of other peoples cars they seem pretty good in accuracy. Im still anxious to get the bonne to the track though.

Man I was dissapointed with my times

I got a 9.6,8.5 and 8.2

But all I did was step on the gas all the way down when it said "go"

The road was a slight incline too so I think i need a better road and more technique

Nearest 1/4 mile track is 3-4 hours away.

Gtech'* are perfectly accurate if calibrated properly. It'* very consistent, the only catch is you're generally on public roads.

Put the bottle down.

It'* a Gtech Pro Competition, upgraded to RR. The best one. Again, they're fully accurate if you set it up right, and i'm using the road racing mode more now then the drag strip.
