GM 4.3L swap?
Well, I was looking through an old issue of "Hot Rod" magazine, and i came across this article on a 4.3L GM engine (Sonoma, *-10 engine) that they put on a 350 supercharger and it made 501 HP on the dyno. so i was wondering if a guy can swap the ol' 3800 for one of those things? if you can do V8 conversion, what not a bigger V6 conversion? just thinking...

well i'm sure you could, but the question with this one, is why would oyu want to, the difference between the two enigne'* stock power, is 205 hp for a bonne, or 195/185 hp for the 4.3, and then the 4.3 has 30 more ft lbs.... but to anyser your question, the 4.3 is more like a v8 becuase of the block, its much larger than a 3.8'*.

I think the 3800 is a more refined engine too. With all the work you're talking about doing by putting a 4.3 where it wasn't intended, modding it to the degree you read about, with much less hassle and fabrication and much less money, you could drop in a supercharged 3.8 and mod it too.

i think its a cool idea, and i think it probably would fit, i have thought about doing the same thing but with a 350 or something(and lots of fabbing) but i dont have the money, if you have the means , more power to you, do it. just make sure you can toast a camero/Ta.
