They did mine exactly like that. Pieces of metal welded to the tails that go in the stock hanger. I'll take pics later...but they did a fantastic job, for $120. Only complaint I have is it isn't nearly as loud as the '89 was...and I miss it. It isn't obnoxious enough for me.
I'm considering cutting the resonator off. I know many of you say don't do that...but I'm REALLY tempted. I'll give it 500km'* like this and make my decision. Right now it is just a quiet rumble, and it'* really deep. One thing I like about the magnaflow over the flowmaster is it makes LOTS of sound in the upper RPM'*. The flowmaster shutup at 3-4k rpms...
