got mine done today, the sucker is pretty much completely sealed against the engince compartment, except for the front. I am also missing the right air dam that goes on the side of the radiator, so I get cool air through there and from behind the headlights. Pics to come soon!

Anyone interested in buy about 1/2 to 3/4 a roll of Reflectix? You could easily make another CAI out of it.

You have found the trick to CAI.

The complimentary trick is to use aluminum tape.
The tape is an exact match, so you can bend, cut and mold to suit your custom set-up.
Too cool. :P

Its called Reflectix, it is like bubble wrap that has been wrapped in aluminum foil. I used several layers for the bottom and the side of the box, and the rest is one layer. It is pretty rigid, but it can be bent to make whatever shape you want. I picked up some aluminum tape to seal it and hold it together, that stuff works great. As for the top, I just peel the tape off the right side and it goes up on a tape hinge so I can acess the filter.

Drifter, you can have the leftover Reflectix if you want it, I will be putting up a post in the For Sale section, there is still enough for another box.

Mike you might want to keep that extra reflectix, you may need it for repairs and continuous improvement of your box.
I found with my first one, that it needed a lot of repair due to the engine flex.
You may want to even consider a more engine mount to stock the movement.

I plan to see how it affects my mileage this tank of gas, and then do some runs to see how it holds up next week. The pipe can probably move pretty easily in there, it is sealed close to the straight part by the TB.

I wish I could see how much my engine flexes, but I dont want to rev it in N, and unless I take the hood off for a run, I dont see any other way I could tell.
