Start in Techinfo. It details what the first suggested mods are.
If it were my car?
1. Gutted airbox and drop-in K&N. Under 50 bucks.
2. Ported LIM. Nearly free, other than maybe 20 bucks for a spare LIM at the wrecker, assuming you already own a dremel tool. Add the price of gaskets that you'd need anyway for #3.
3. APN OR DILLON UIM. This is a MUST before even trying to spell the word MOD.

The plugs didn't give you any power. Until you increase compression in an L36 either by changing something or adding forced induction, it doesn't matter.
Your half-second was environmental and track conditions, as well as the plugs being NEW, and the car running cooler.

Spark plugs are not power-adders. The only way to gain from them is if they 'needed' to be changed. Your track improvements came from the other variables.
There is no POWER to be gained from one plug to another.

Because SOME L36'* have KR from the factory, and one heatrange colder won't HURT you. It won't add any power either, unless you have 'factory KR' that MIGHT be caused by the plugs.
If you have no KR, colder plugs will do nothing for you. Plug selection will not ADD power, only regain any power that you may have lost over time.
We need to get this back on topic.
