Default Fuel Cell

Ok, so I'm thinkin that when I go to the track and I'm puttin some high octane race gas in, I don't want it "diluted" by the regular pump gas, cause I'm gonna be runnin' some smaller pullies next time out, so I was wondering how hard it would be to tap into the stock fuel system and put a lil' 2 gallon fuel cell where the spare tire is.... Anybody tried it? It can't be that hard, can it? :?

You better do it right, with shutoff outside the car, or you'll fail Tech inspection. On another note, your car needs time to adjust to the new octane, so you REALLY want it to be running on the way to the track.

Otherwise you don't really gain the benefit until your 3rd or 4th run.

Splicing the lines will be the biggest PITA of the whole idea......Problem is, most all race gas is leaded, so you're gonna trash your cat.

So I'll just make 3 or 4 extra runs....

And the cat'* already comin out for that reason. Its only clamped in, so I can just take it out for race day.....

Ahhhh Good call. Well just like Will said, make sure you'll make it through tech and you'll have a nice setup.
