Default Fuel Additive

Okay so with the higher gas prices I am looking for a good additive that would bump the octane on the cheaper gas up. What would you guys suggest? The cheapest yet best quality gas I can get is I believe 87 octane....Right now I am paying $3.23/ gallon for the 91 octane....I know that the lower octane leads to engine failure on the Supercharged engines.....but if the prices keep climbing....I need a way to save a few pennies.

Sorry, I had to.

In all seriousness though, I personally wouldn't mess with additives. Is a couple dollars per fill-up worth destroying your engine?

Useless junk. I'm seriously not even kidding. That little bottle of octane is a scam and nothing more. When they say "will raise octane level by 3 points" that doesn't mean that the gas in your tank will go from 87 octane to 91 octane. In all honesty, that'* closer to 3 decimal points, as in. .3 octane, so you go from 87 to 87.3. When they say "108 octane," that refers to the octane in the bottle, not what will be in your tank. If you want higher octane fuel, buy higher octane fuel. Fuel additives are useless.

the cheapest way to get higher octane? buy higher octane fuel...

additives are relatively expensive compared to how much they actually raise the octane of the fuel. i use to use the NOS race only stuff that claims a 4-7 point increase... come to find out, it means a .4 to .7 increase in octane... stuff wasn't cheap either.

CRAP: i got ninja'd!
