Fool Proof Mods......
I'm lookin for some fool proof mods, that are both easy to do, and will not have a large risk of ruining my car.
Right now I'm looking at getting a new PCM for my car (my car is a 1997 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight LS with a N/A 3800 Series 2 Engine) I'm almost positive that it is the same car as a bonneville, just with different asthetics.
any suggestions on a pcm or other mods and stuff that are easy to do, and will produce noticable results (asthetic mods are cool too)
also, links to suggested items help, considering I have some problems finding things.
Thanks alot for any help.

hey...and welcome...
i'd say the 88 LS is the same ..it is an H body if i'm not mistaken so you should be good
first off i'd do a 180 stat, intake mod (gut it like a fish or rice pipe) , a PCM from INTENSE is an awesome investment..then take it from there..
alot of how-to articles can be found in the tech info section
good luck and have fun

I have an Olds LSS */C and Intence does not have a PCM for me. ZZP does. However, it will need to be custom burned. Check with them before you go and get a Bonneville PCM. It may be different.

Any 180-Tstat that fits a 3800 S2 will fit your car. If you can't get a PCM done you may want to think about a manual fan switch to kick the cooling fans on at 180, otherwise the fans wont come on until about 215.

It'* a book. Find it at Napa, Autozone, or others. Don't buy Clymer or Haynes. Just shop around until you find that one. Or buy online.
