Mark...if you are getting belt slip on a 3.4...something is wrong. There are plenty of people here running it with a 715 belt and no oversized pully w/o any issue.

You may want to check your tensioner.

Congrats on the power up...

Whle the belt is off..did you check bearings and coupler?

We have more than enough belt wrap and unless your belt is too long or greased down..I don't understand why it would slip.

it only slips when i go WOT till about 5200 then let off it did this with the stock pulley and old */c belt
the car only has 51k on it so i doubt the coupler is the issue

How are you determining it is belt slip? Rubber shavings all over the engine bay or watching the boost gauge go up and down?

Are you sure its the belt making the noise? Look for rubber shavings on the underside of the hood or the back of the bay. This is a good indicator of belt slip.

i doubt its belt slip. i know on 1337sseis car. the belt would rub after being reved. and we tried to do an oversized tensioner and stock belt. we had to change the belt and reinstall the stock tensioner. everything was fine after that.
