Default Exhaust wrap

I was thinking about wrapping my stock exhaust from the front manifold to a little after the crossover, would this produce any adverse affects?

Exhaust wrap tends to attract moisture unless it'* sealed. And the heat it keeps in may be enough to crack your front cast exhaust manifold.
