Default My new ride, time to start working on it.

I finally got my '92 Bonneville SE from a girl I know for $600.

It runs great, but t'* not a looker right now. She hit someone and broke the drivers fender and bumper cover and somehow the door skirts came off too. Once those are replaced, the body will be great. I think I'm going to paint it black, put some 18" rims on it.

My main question is this:
What is it going to take to install this supercharger that I got on it? I got the brackets and pulleys, im pretty sure all i'm gonna have to do is get a chip burned for my computer.

I'm not going to install the SC till spring, I just want to make sure I have everything to do it before I get there. Also are there any other performance mods I can do to the engine without major machining or rebuilding? I was planning on at least taking the heads and manifolds and have them ported and polished.
Can you put a bigger cam in these? I am going to get a chip burned anyway, I might as well do all the mods at once.

O Geez. Noob question for the week!

You'll need a BIG budget and alot more parts than just that SC. Sell the car and buy an SSEi, or set aside at least $2k for the swap, and another $2k in the bank for when the trans lets go.

I didn't buy the SC for this car specifically. I bought it to put it on a 3800 on my dune buggy, but I changed my mind when I got the car.

$2k for the swap?
I can get a wrecked SSE non-sc for $850 with good engine and transaxle. All I would need to do is swap out the engine and transaxle and add on the SC and ECM, correct?

No. Accessory brackets, axles, harmonic balancer, PCM, wiring harness and a bunch of other stuff I can't recall off the top of my head. This is the LEAST desirable method.

If you insist on superchaging the car you have, buy a wrecked SSEi and swap in the entire drivetrain (engine and trans), PCM, and engine wiring harness. But then you might as well do the suspension, too.
