NGK iridium IX or BOSCH-PLATINUM+4
Subject says it all. I was just wandering which plugs are better for performance. I am running the BOSCH-PLATINUM+4 but it is almost time to change them out. I see a lot of people talking about the NGK iridium IX so was just trying to find out what the fuss is about.

alot of people have had problems with bosch products. they don't seem to be built to; work in our cars. everything seems to go bad real quick. willwren had an 02 sensor go bad in something like two weeks. most people would probably say stay away from bosch parts.

Were is a good place to buy the NGK iridium IX. I am running Bosch Platinum Wires also. How do they seem to be. I will probably change them out also. I think they are like 6.5mm so they are actually smaller than the stock AC Delco wires.

I would stay away from any bosch product.. I have yet to hear one thing positive about any of their product.. I think they were designed for Ricers only...try NAPA or our good ol http://www.angryducktofuracing.com or http://www.domesticperformance.com

I just got mine through Domestic performance- Ty (SPEEDGUY). Not sure if they're listed on the site. I got my wires from ADTR but they didnt have plugs listed on the website although i'm sure they have their connections if you call. I had BOSCH Platinum +4 for a year now, after 6 months, one of them blew. Mechanic said it was a 'bad' plug. bye bye bosch... 
OUr local NAPA sucks and PEP boys didnt even carry 'em. (Our biggest local auto store).

If you want your plugs to last forever, go with Iridium.
If you have forced induction (ex: nitrous, supercharger, etc), go with Copper V-Powers (TR 55 or TR 6).

Tell me what you think. I just bought a set of NGK Iridium IX part # TR55IX, stock # 7164 for my 96 Bonneville Engine K. This is the stock number NAPA had in there online store and a couple of other online stores also had this same number. I paid $38.85 for a set of six, this is including shipping. This comes out to be 6.41 per plug. Napa had theirs for around $9 a plug and the lowest I saw was about $8 a plug. Hopefully I got a good deal. Also for anybody that saw my other threads I am doing a complete coolant flush and putting in a 180 degree thermostat tonight. I am so excited.

I am getting a little rough idle at start up but I was getting that back with the normal AC delco plugs too. It wasn't nearly as bad now as with the normal plugs though but has been getting slightly worse lately. I think the plugs are just getting a little worn out now.
