Drilling the thermastat
Now I've seen this in several sigs in the club but I haven't the slightest idea what it does performance wise and what is actualy being done on the thermastat. Can someone enlightin me on this?

Click on my sig pic, go to the gallery. You'll see one of my old summer thermostats. You want four 1/16 inch holes. Just inside where the rubber seal sits.
De-burr the holes by hand, twirling a larger drill bit between your fingers, and rinse well.

while on the subject would replacing my stock thermostat to a 180f stat improve my cars performance in any way? I plan on making a rice pipe some time this week, due to the fact that now I am forced to drive 34-38 miles every day from home to school then back to home I need to know if this stuff will really help cool my car signifigantly.

well im not sure where u are located, but im assuming that in winter it gets cold...
if you have a 180 thermostat, the car will take a lot longer to get to optimal temp...
i know the 180 is supposed to make your engine run cooler to help save your intake from failing...
