Default PCM + Shiftkit = Overkill?

Ok, well I'm totally loving my new PCM. It'* noticeably changed how my car drives, for the better. One thing I noticed is that the shifts are a lot firmer, which I like, but it'* not at all times. So, I'm curious, since the PCM does increase line pressure automatically, would buying a shift kit be overkill?

It will be better with the shift kit. I have both on my car. The PCM made the shift firmer, but still didn't feel right. I installed the street/strip shift kit a few weeks later. The shift seemed much better after that.

You don't notice it at all the time? That doesn't seem right. I have the standard INTENSE PCM and I have firmer shifts 100% of the time, even at parking lot speeds as well every kind of speeds.

One thing I remember when I had just the PCM, it seemd the shift was a little sloppy. It would shift firm, but I felt a stutter. When the shift kit went in, that stutter was gone.

Yes, I feel that stutter, which is what I was complaining about... It'* really annoying and I feel like I'm not really protecting the clutches like I would with a shift kit.

it'* not exactly a stutter on mine, like my old transmission, just not firm, kinda like a small jerk, if that makes any sense. It'* not annoying, but it'* not like the feeling I've felt in other shift kitted trannies

A shift kit and an aftermarket PCM will work fine together in fact I recommend it
