Its for the 4t65-HD tranny. They sell HD upgrade kits but they are like $900

Well First off I have to say that Dynamat definitly plays a big role in the quietness of my ride. There'* very little outside noise heard, especially from the rear, can't hear my exhaust at all, seriously. I agree that in my car I hear a lot of supercharger whine and Nopt much else. Wonder if your SLP box has something to do with it vs. my more open thrasher box too. Your box did look thicker than mine. I know you were jelous that my IAT temps were almost double ambient air. Going to fix it up nice at the mod day on the 10th.

I do have to admit that your car did seem a little rougher/ louder than mine, but your butt meter was higher than mine, more pull than me. Don't think that you ruined your car, the only thing that your ruining is your Tranny! If some how you ruined your ssei by putting in headers and rockers and such, I guess my car is going to be ruined soon too.

I did notice that your 1-2 shift wasn't as quick as mine with the same shift kit, I thought that was interesting. My tranny is going to break sooner.

Maybe you should get your headers wraped soon, maybe that noise is getting to you. If a quieter ride is what your after. Go get some dynamat and just do the front doors. Not hard to do at all. Peel and stick, works great in cutting outside noise. Hardest part is taking off door panel and that not that hard, all you need is a panel popper.

I wonder how Pdad and Silver feel on the topic.
At times I feel the same as Rogue. Particularly with my solid motor mount. Can really feel the motor vibrations more now.
As I said in another thread, I just installed the DHP computer today. Now I really do need that LSD. The computer upgrade made as much improvement as the headers.
It'* great to finally see 6000 rpm now but I'm sure it will stress the trani.
The intense shift kit is not as firm as my old transceptor adjustable pressure device but much more streetable. Don't forget that I'm still burning off my stock Goodyear'*.
I like the sound of my headers. Even louder without the Cat but a very sweet sound, not as nice as my Firebird 400 with headers though but hey it'* not a V8.
My intake always stays cold with the insulation setup.

I wondered about that solid motor mount and the vibrations associated with it. For me don't think I want to go there.

Talking about added stress to a car, big stereos like mine, the bass waves/vibrations can and do make the whole car shake at times. I know that ever nut and bolt will start to loosen up over time. Serious bass is not good for a daily driver, but hey I knew that getting into it. Kinda happend to my Aurora. Lot more squeeks and noises in the car over bumps and stuff over time. Really loosens up a car.

Anyways, talking with some ILGPC guys and they warned me of wet/snow driving to watch out for the front end to "drift" with a LSD. Have to watch out for that, Going to have some fun next snow fall though, see if I can get my ssei to drift around some turns, should be good times.

Like most of us I've been doing lots of mods and tweaks.
I have thought a few times that maybe i've gone too far like Rogue and Silver but the mods I've done have not really taken me that far away from stock? And the car for the most part is only custom to us on this board. No one on the street knows I have clear corners or smaller sc pulley.
Granted the headers and Z rated tires have added some more back ground noise but I like the way it sounds and listen for it when I can.
I cant wait for a lsd and new chip, hopefully soon I'll have the cai then I'll be set

That'* my biggest concern with an LSD. Wet weather front end understeering.
The torque steer I'm getting now is scary but if you were to nail it going a sweeping bend in the rain with LSD I'd be afraid of flying off the road. Stabilitrak won't help with that. :?

It'* probably no where near as bad as your sound system.
It feels like a high frequency vibration mostly felt thru the steering wheel. No one else in the car notices it.
I can really notice it more by hand inside engine bay feel but it'* not dramatic.
....but when you nail it the more direct torque transmission is very noticeable and no movement of my air box or flex pipe.

While trying out my new DHP and doing some nice burnouts, I notice that if the car is straight and I don't turn the wheel at all, I can lay twin black lines about 50 feet long just like yours and I don't have an LSD.

I laid a few 2 wheel burnouts without my LSD too, I noticed both would spin and than one would catch and the other tire would still add another 15feet of rubber. but couldn't get both to hook up everytime. One of the main reasons I got it was to elminate Tourque steer and help rolling launches, where non LSD will never hook up both tires.

For me, I'm not stopping either, I just want my PHASE 1 done as well, rockers, headers, and PCM. drive it for a year. Next year get IC and ported blower and save up for a beefed tranny, then who knows, I also need to save for a winter beater too.
