Dealing with gas
I've seen a lot of guys do this around here. They stop at the local airport and fill up a tank with 100 low-lead. They then use this at the track since we don't have a place here with really high octane, like 110. Has anyone here done this? The lead content is almost insignificant and someone told me that it won't negatively affect the engine at all.

Alot depends on whether or not you have emmissions in your state. The lead will kill the catalytic converter. Even low-lead gas will over time. If you don't have emmissions (like CA), you can probably get away with it. Running a CAT bypass with a manual or electric cutout would be a cool mod to be able to do this. I have 110 available at my favorite 76 station, but it'* leaded. It'* been tempting.

STOP!!!
Don't do it! First it'll poison your Cat. Here is a quote from Mobile Tuning:"With the addition of the catalytic converter, it is undesirable to burn leaded fuel, because leaded fuel will clog the converter and increase the back-pressure of the exhaust. "
Also may damage O2 sensors because they are sensitive to contaminants. Here is a quote from a Toyota fuel injection site: "The O2 sensor is easily contaminated, and as such leaded gasoline should never be used, as well as silicone sealants/gaskets that are not O2 safe. "
