Default Motor swap & upgrades IT"* ALIVE!!!

you heard me right im FANALLY working on it 2+month after it went down and aout a month after getting the new motor.

Im putting this in the Performance & Brainstorming forum because im not just doing a a stock swap.
My current plans (some already underway) are P&P supercharger, PEM'*(homemade),94-95 heads(came with new motor ) and a P&P LIM

heres what we got done in the hour or so it was worked on tonight.

Looks like you're making some headway! The 3800 is a pretty easy motor to pull. Just remember that last rear bellhousing bolt that you can't see. It goes in from the motor side and threads into the transaxle. Otherwise you'll be tugging away and wondering why the motor won't come loose! :P

Im going to lookinto taking the heat sheald off the old one(lower of the two in the pic) and put it on the new one (double it for better TB sheilding)
and it looks like ill need to get a 93+ EGR thingy since the new manny has a male thread and the old has a female thread

Peter.. that water outlet coming out of the LIM.. tough to tell..looks like black plastic. If so..swap that out with metal before it strands you with no coolant in your new motor.

More news is good news.

I got my front PEM done (other then sandblast and coating)
exterior welds done, I did ALL the welding with the manifolds bolted down to the old block to prevent warping... you should see how much **** went down the spark plug holes
