Default I'm so excited!!!!

I'm real excited! I ordered my slp 3.5 pulley, the ac 41-932 plugs, the 180 stat. I can't wait to get them on!!! I already have a k&n air filter. I LOVE MY DARK BLUE BEAST

ps. I can't wait to feel the extra power as I put the pedal to the metal. I love the feel of the SC as it kicks in and I get that jolt of acceleration. Can anyone Identify?!

Nice, I bet you are already dreaming of those on your car.

Of course man. I love being on the highway giving her the slightest increases in throttle possible until - showtime - the SC kicks in and I get sucked back into my seat. It'* love I tell you.

Willwren,

Yeah, I can't wait to see what thay pulley will do to my car. Since I don't race I've been really debating the intercooler for the tranny. If I choose not to do anymore mods is it really that necessesary to get one? If I change my tranny oil 2x a year will I still run into problems if I don't get it? The '92 has no known mods, but I don't have any records of the previous owner having any problems with the tranny. It has 200k on it!

I like to step on it a bit, but I have no designs to race it. It'* my everyday car. I've gotten other'* opinions as well, but wanted to hear what you had to say about it. Don't get me wrong, I know it would be good, but is it necessary with the few mods I've got? If my old one survived with so many miles what'* to worry about. All I hope to achieve is 200k miles. Maybe I could wait until I'm at 100k then do it. Is the tranny better, worse, or the same as it was on the older models who had series I motors?

Thanks!

ps. Anyone else who wants to comment on this is more than welcome. I need to be persuaded to do it. In other words, it'* got to be REAL necessesary or else, like the many other mods out there I will just pass over it as an option like my pulley was/is.

It'* really simple. Heat is the enemy. Kill the heat, you extend the life of the tranny. You have to decide if the cooler is worth another year or two before the trans goes.

dbtk2 posted somewhere that a 20° difference in average trans temps could double the life of the tranny.

Your motor and SC, if properly cared for, will last 300k+, but the trans won't.

Thanks,

What brand & model of cooler do you recommend and where can I get it? I don't want to order the wrong one.

Also, When you recommended the Ac Delco 41-932'* you mentioned getting them to be "safe." What did you mean by that? I know they're 1 heat range cooler. What does that mean, and what does it do for me running mostly stock plus the pulley, stat, plugs and the K&N filter? Sorry if I'm grilling you with so many questions, but I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to these things, though I'm learning a lot here at this site!

I just like to know the whys with the whats. I've been going through this site reading the posts, but there'* so many. It'll take a month to really put a dent in them all.
