Also it doesnt matter what your pulling compared to the magazine as long as you pull a baseline with your original airbox then pull another with your new box and compare THOSE numbers you will have a decent idea on your gains.
Exactly. The dyno should be consistant with itself (if its not you have other problems), so it doesn't matter if its off or not. It will show you the difference before and after, and that is what you're looking for. It would be nice if it were accurate so you could brag about the numbers, but its not that big of a deal.

It'* easier to go from puckered to wide open. Going from wide open to puckered is like putting a big plug in it. Try disconnecting the battery overnight (even for a couple minutes).
