new ram air baby
ok so me and a buddy went to home depot to find ram air making materials... all they had was 4 inch tubing... which is too big. so we went to menards and there sat 3 inch metal flex tubing, 3 to 4 inch converter, and a "fresh air scoop" with a 4 inch hole. HOT DAMN i thought. so i put the tubing in one hand and my friend puts the converters on the scoops and we head to check out (also got five 3 inch hose clamps).
the hot blonde cashier rings everything up and thinks the converters are part of the scoops and we get the two $10 scoops free basicaly. im not gonna complain. so that all cost $23 with the savings
got back and rigged up the tubing and hose clamps but didnt have bolts... so went to home depot and got all the bolts and huge *** washers to hold under pressure.
went back home and got one side done then the mesquitos came out full bore. but it worked so far... just gotta take it easy with clearance.

i think it was easier because i didnt have to wire it in place and it worked around the big unmovable parts... but you gotta be careful cutting it or it will just unravel on ya.

Umm... Why did you put it on that side of the car?
Long Ram == Bad.
Where'* those airflow tests someone did with 1" of vacuum? 'Cause they prove that Long Ran == Bad
I had long ram for a bit, but a short ram is waaaaay better, like 100cfm or so, more with the tubing you're using.
Damn creative use of a dryer vent though, I'm using that.
