Default Went to Regap The NGK'*

When Nate and myself replaced the plugs in my car to prep for the pulley they were gapped at .60. Today I went to gap them at the proper .55. And what do ya know? They were already gapped @ .55?! :? The biggest gap was .57. Just because I felt my time was wasted gapped them to ~ .53-.54. 2 questions

1. Is there anything that coulda caused the gap to close a little?
2. Was it a bad idea to gap them down further to the .53-.54?

You should be ok at that gap, and did you use the same gauge each time? Or did the same person do it?

Nate (LakevilleSSEi) did them back in April. He gapped them with his plug gapper and said he was gapping them at .60. Yesterday I pulled the plugs to regap them to .55 and they were pretty much there. I used my own gapper that I bought yesterday. What happens if you gap them too small anyways?

Smaller spark and weaker flame for a lil less power. The bigger the spark, the bigger the flame, you just need the ignition system to shoot the spark

So I kinda shot myself in the foot for gapping them at .53. I suppose since I won a modular pulley system I can get a 3.4" now. That 3.5" never seemed to give me a major gain.
