Default does anyone make a cam for our cars?

i was reading in the techinfo and they said that a good upgrade to do would be a camshaft before a SC pulley. does anyone manufacture a camshaft? can i get the stock one somehow modified for better performance?

You might have misread something, or maybe I mis-wrote it, but I'd definitely do a pulley before a cam. For the Series1, you're probably going to have to have a cam custom ground. Get with Dr. Jay on that. He'* been digging around on that subject recently. I'm talking with him tonight, so I'll see what he'* found so far.

Well the GN'* were a different animal altogether. I would really have to look into this deeply to what could (if anything) be swapped over to our style of 3800'*. Now being it'* a 3.8L & not a 3800 (There is a big difference btw), I would have to say for now that it won't fly! :?

Default Intense andThrasher Cams

There are cams available for 3800 II - noth NA and supercharged. They are offered for the Grand Prix but will fit the Bonneville (same engine).

Intense-racing makes and sells cams for both L36(3800 NA) and L67 (3800SC). They also have rockers/pushrods.

www.intense-racing.com

Scott Cook has the cam in his 2000 Bonneville SSEI which runs the 1/4 in the 11s. He is very knowledgable and helpful. He may be able figure out if you can use his cams in a 3800Series I.

Thrasher makes a CAM for the 3800SC.

www.thrashercharged.com

SLP also offers roller rockers with lightweight pushrods for both supercharge and NA engines.

You'd have to change heads as well, and the entire drivetrain. You could buy a used Series 2 for the same price or less.

What about the turbo system from the GN?

Would any of that be transferable to our 3800'*?
