Default Ready to start Mods

I took my car to the track last night to get a base line and an idea how she performs. First time at the track so my times may not be as real as should be - but she ran low 16'*. Hmmm.

Anyway, I have the mod fever and I am looking to keep my L36 N/A. So I won't ask the repetitive questions about SC or turbos. Although 50-shot nitrous came up in question.

Realistic now - what mods should I start out with first to get my Bonne up to speed? I need all your expertise before I move forward.

You actually do an L67 top end swap on your L36 engine. Granted your transmission will have to be shortly beefed up, because it simply cant handle that sort of extra power. But is possible to supercharge an L36, and fairly cheaply minus the transmission.

There is also a turbo kit made for the W-bodies, but Im sure it could be easily adapted to fir the Bonneville, although I dont know of anyone on here that has done it yet. Same issues with the transmission will show up.

Thanks - this really helps to start out. Although I guess there are different opinions on adding a SC or not especially if your a GP or nonBonne fan. I am looking at swapping though. But for now does any N/A L36 run a nitrous kit?

Well..that'* not completely true

Curt has it on a 90
Venom has it on an 05 GXP
And there'* a couple others..I forget who though.
It'* not very common due to the homework needed to use it properly w/o problems.

I had always thought that the L36 and L67 ran the same transmission with the exception of the final drive ratio :?:

Nope. The L67 has a 4T65-E HD and the L36 has the standard 4T65-E.
