For those who have one, what kind did you buy? And how exactly do you install a trans temp gauge? is it difficult? Thanks

I was looking at pillar pods today, and the guy said they don't make them for our car. Did you just make one that would fit from a differant car? If so how did you make it, that would be awsome if i could get one to work. The guy i bought my trans temp gauge from was really interested in my car too. He was rebuilding some grand national engines and said that he loves the 3.8l engine block. He'* had the engine block take around 600+ hp without a problem. And i guess our bonnevilles have the same block.

Have any actually been produced? I only bought this one to get by until those were available.

Mine is a universal 2-pod from Autozone. I heated, shaped, and trimmed to fit.

I'm going to start looking in the summer for a pillar pod for 3 gauges. (Volt, Tranny Temp, and something I haven't thought of yet).
I miss not having my voltmeter, but I guess if it had to be replaced a boast gauge is the better thing to have.

How difficult was it to mod your pillar pod Bill?
Just a heat gun , and some time?

Yup. Heat gun, extension cord, metal snips to trim it with, then a little sandpaper for the trimmed edges, and paint. There'* 3 or 4 of us running this universal pod, but I still want a one-piece pod fully molded to replace the entire pillar trim.

Yea a full custom pod for our Bonnie'* would be best.

But I took a look around your site and saw your pod setup.... looks really good.
Was color matching the paint hard?
