What is this mod? Does it really make a difference? And can it br done on a 87-91?

it'* a 96+ type thing, It'* where the guys with the lesser years take out some extra weight in the airbox to get bettor flow. Supposedly it'* easy. I hear the rice pipe will work for you though....

Not sure about your generation, but the Series I doesn't need gutting. Punching some extra holes wouldn't hurt though

Yeah, I had a dryer duct on my 87, Passing was nice. Drilling say, a mesh of 2" holes in the top half of the air box would be cool, Maybe build a heatsheild to fit with ram into it.....

Dont bother, get a K&N drop in, but the 87-91 stock airbox is so well designed, it really doesnt need one IMO.

Jrs3800 put one in his 91 and seems to like it. You will get more out of exhaust mods.
