Matt you’re using a TREperformance pump correct? I've been trying to get a hold of TRE for a few days now e-mail and phone but no luck. I'm pretty sure I heard from someone that their 340 pump is the right one for us 96-99 guys. Would you be able to tell me which model pump you have?

i bought the TRE340, yes. Not installed yet.

Okay..it runs..but idles like **** as its got some kind of vac leak..
Checked all sensors that are vac controled with carb cleaner, they are okay.
HOWEVER when i spray carb cleaner near the base of the SC the engine smooths out nicely, almost as if my SC is leaking at the base...wierd..this happend last year too...
It also tossed a PO1200 <---Injector circut code.

Any ideas? Everything else is 100%. Took it for a short drive, pulls some KR due to that Vac leak.
Someone please shed some light on this

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak but how can that cause KR. :?

letting in to much air, leaning out the mixture.

Thanks,

5 mins after I posted here asking about the pump someone from TRE finally called me back. But they had no idea about which pump I should use, I was asked to pull the pump from my tank and call them back with some info from the factory pump :? . Anyway looks like the 340 from one of the Mustang kits I'll order.

Sounds like you might have some surface irregularities on the mating surface of your LIM which are keeping it from sealing properly.

Aluminum warps very easily when overheated but you would think that the gasket and bolts would pull it tight enough so even if it leaked a small bit, it wouldn't really affect your air fuel ratio that much. :?
I just went back to the beginning and see that you changed the SC. :?

If your LIM is warped or not flat enough to seal you could always pull the LIM and have it milled a few thousandth’* at any machine shop.

I just recently found that I pinched (And subsequently ruined) an injector o-ring that goes to the lower intake, which is causing a massive vac leak.

Something to look into.

My injectors go directly into the Heads on the Series II.
What I am going to do, something I was going to do last time this happend..get a new SC gasket, and apply a small bead of gasket maker (red SC stuff) to both sides (bottom of SC and top of LIM, to creat a really good, positive seal.
Im also going to take a roloc to that bad boy get her polished up..
SC on and off...two hours MAX, 15 bux for a gasket...lesson learned.
I messed around with it more last night..has to be the SC to LIM
