glasspack vs resonator
my stock resonator is going to have to go when exhaust install time rolls around...for those of you who dont know, i took the refund Tranzgenic gave me because the parts were on backorder for 3 weeks+ and i spent it on a high-flow cat and u-bend delete materials.
The problem is once all the new stuff is in place the stock resonator is far too long, and is in a place where you cant move it down the exaust line without running new piping which would equal even more money.
the stock resonator is 28 inches long, ill take exact measurements once all my other stuff arrives, but im thinking im going to need a glasspack or resonator somewhere in the 18 inch range.
ive heard good things about glasspacks, such as that they work well, and are cheap, and the vast majority are a straight through design...ive also heard bad things such as that they wear out and start to fall apart after a few months...
im also looking into a high flow resonator, but for one thing i can barely seem to find them, and for another theyre more expensive than glasspacks..
so a couple questions:
which one would flow better? im thinking glasspack>resonator because of the way they work.
what is a good kind of glasspack? do they still fall apart?
where can i even find a high-flow resonator?
on an related note i hope this really wakes up my car...i should still have some amount of backpressure so i dont think my torque will drop...i honestly dont think i could take a further decrease in low end torque...but im getting used to heading for the high rpms to find power anyway.
