Hi!

Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

There are several ways to get the exhaust sound you want as well as opening the exhaust for future moding. Many of us run Flowmaster or Magnaflow mufflers, Hi-flo cats and have either the resonator in or out. Allot depends on the trim of your car, how noisy you want it and what you intend to do in the future to increase engine efficienty and performance.

a good option for you would be to get a Factory Dual exhaust from a SLE or SSEI and delete the resonator.

How do you delete the resonator?

Just don't have the resonator installed or cut it out if you've salvaged a system from another car. Then where the resonator once resides, put in section of pipe.

Reread the thread. I had mentioned many of us run Flowmaster or Magnaflow mufflers, Hi-flo cats and have either the resonator in or out. You can also add headers. Do a search use the key word "Muffler". There is lots of different ideas and suggestions in the "Performance Area" (this thread) and some videos in the "Your Ride" area.

What many of us have found over time here, is we can suggest a sound, you have to hear it and make the decision on whether or not thats what you are loking for.
