Default Mod Questions

I am new here to this site, Live in Canada and just got a 93 SSEI. I put the K&N Filter on my car and it seems as if I have actually lost off the line power and as I accelerate the power gets very weak and then strong and then weak (I hope this makes scense). Is the computer still adjusting?

And another few quesions what is the horsepower and Torque rating on my engine stock? What should it be with usual things such as Air Filter, Exhaust, Pulley power chip, new MSD coils ETC....... I know it varys alot, any ballpark figures.

Thank You

Kody

Hmm -you shouldn't lose power at any rpm with a K&N. Did you get a cone filter or a standard filter that fits in the original air-box? If you got a cone filter wher do you have the AIT sensor?
Stock your car has 205 hp and 260 lb ft of torque.
MSD coils will not net you more than maybe 1 hp.(?)
With an exhaust you will gain 10-15 hp depending on what other mods are there to compliment it. With a pulley you will gain approx. 15-20 hp. With the pulley and exhaust your boost guage may show less boost or about the same as stock due to more air-flow incoming and going out, but since it'* free-er flowing it will be alot more efficient providing more hp per lb of boost.
You might be able to get a Jet or Superchip since your car is a 1993, and with one of these you will see around 7-15 hp gain (you will want to wait until the intake and exhaust are done before you do the chip).
Good luck,
Martin

Thanks for the info, The AIT Sensor is mounted right behind the filter wich is a cone filter by the way.

Thank You

if that filter is not shielded from the heat you are probably getting hot air and KR.
