CLEAR TAIL LIGHTS?
#31
Sorry about getting off topic! Personally I don't care much for Altezza style tails. But if you have a way to do it or make some it would be neat to see what they look like. A lot of things sound stupid but the reason people will do it is because they can. Go for it if you can!

And actually, since I don't believe anybody has answered the original question...
No, you couldn't do the same on our taillights.
The outside part is the actual yellow and red plastic lense
If you removed that, nothing would be there to protect the bulbs from the elements

clear tails
before even seeing this posting, i had the thought. A friend and i took some tails from junk yard for his 94 z34 and cleaned them out and made euros for hsi ca,r they look bad ***, then we bought some for my car, and they're just sitting in my basement til i get the time to get it done, but as soon as i do, i'll post the pic. Theres no way i'd risk my lights right now, on something that might not look good.

Ive seen some GP'* with altezzas and i dont think its really worth doing on a domestic. Yeah it can look ok with small tail lights..but so much rice. IT would look HORRIBLE on the bonne tails. The SSE tails for pre 96 are extremely tight so be glad you have them if you do

A modular light system could be made in a Domestic style and add a bit of style. It really depends. Have been told through e-mail a few people are interested in new rear lights and while they are being made a custom look would help. I would be interested in postings of pictures of other lights with qualities people think look good on a Domestic. If you don’t like the idea of custom lights that’* ok but I figure we should look into it. Ill post a poll.
