Because a member here with a 95 SSEi posted that a chip tuner was willing to set up REDLINE shifts on his chip. My search continues. And it will until I find an option that will satisfy people. My goal is to keep people from spending money and not getting what they wanted out of it. Budgets are tighter here than on ClubGP.
I gain nothing from this, but put aside my own personal projects and spend hard earned money that would benefit me better by using it to buy rockers for my own car.
I'm not even going into SC Performance and Floz. The rest of the members can tell you about that.
Your impressions are wrong. That'* the point I'm making in this reply. You also have to remember that not every member here climbs up into their engine bay barefoot to tackle a project.
PM me for further information on the chip tuner I referenced above. I won't post more specifics until I know more, but I can give you my impressions.

Samantics? The impression i get when i post new ideas sometimes is just a bad one.

The climbing up in the engine thing, that was cute. Way to be an adult
I do alot of things for members here when they request it. So go cry your own river and get GM Tuners to burn you a chip with redline shifts. I hear it works really well. I'm through with this topic.
Your last reply was immature, not thought out in advance, and totally misinterpreted what I was saying to you.

I think what has to be remembered here (depsite my disinterest in this topic) is to understand that we are looking out for your best interests. I'm all for trying new things out, but if you want to do it, go for it.
I suggest all parties posting in this thread be mindful of their tone.

ZZP works close with DHP. They will know exactly what PCM tuning is just right for the GT cam. They've been doing it even longer then intense, so i'm not going to doubt them.
It'* well known fact that caming cars such as ours, raises the power band. DHP and/or ZZP will know this info, and so will anyone with the cam installed. It'* actually suited to the mods, and what he wants the chip to do, unlike a pre-fabbed jet stage 2.
EDIT: it'* an L36, and it'* well known what'* good for it as well over on ClubGP. he asked a fair quesion on other PCM'* and such. All he wants to do is have a custom ROM on his hybrid PCM, with the usual OBD 2 rewriting.

My mods are: GT cam/LS6 springs/SI valves/HVII/CAI/PEMs/NoCat/L67 injectors/Miniafc 2.0/Electric WP/and soon to have L67 TB
I have a OBD1/2 hybrid(95Bonneville) so i am having a basic chip burned.
If i bump my shifts up to 6100 and advance the timing by 3 degrees, that should be ok right?
Thanks
-Mike
good on the timing but I would take the shift points a little higher. 6400.

95, I'd like to point out that this topic would have been less than a page had you posted that information to begin with. It would have saved DrJay and I alot of headaches on this one, and you too. No drama. I do think however, that DrJay made some pretty good points. You will have twice the chip if you take the time to do it right.
I still think you need to find another chip tuner. Again, if you need more information on that, it can be provided, but I think you've seen my point on that already.
In the future, keep insults offline on this forum. I overlooked it because of my position here, and called Jim in to Moderate a bit. Disrespect towards members is not tolerated on this forum.

I take great pride in the things i do to my car. I worked for 36 hours straight when i did my cam/head install. That was probably about 13+ hours into it. By that point, i was sick and tired of leaning over my car so i just hopped up in there. The shoes just stayed on the floor. :P
