Well a few weeks back i was changing my T-stat to the 180 so in the process i was burping the system and the neigbhor came over so we were talking for like an hour (mine you the car is running with the needle vavle a few turn open on the T-stat housing) so after about 15 min of him being there i shut off the car

then he left like 45 min later so me i just go in the house to clean up (the 3 *'*) so i get in the bonny and drive to go my old lady from work. we were just going to go home but she changed her mind and wanted to go for ice cream no problem so the best place near byt is called KOPP'*

its about 20min away if i take the interstate so i we get there and heavy smoke is coming from under the hood i poped the hood and looked turns out i forgot to tighten the bleeder screw so from all the pressure it loosed all the way out so here i am 30miles from home with no screw but i had a screwdriver i was looking in the car and deicded to take out a screw that holds in the radio to see if it would fit the only differnce was the threads and no taper i put it in it worked long enough to get me home then i went to the bone-yard and got a whole new assmbly

You're lucky. Do a little dance.

Don't ever use the bleeder screw. It serves no real purpose. The system will purge itself.

but no damage i was taught to leave the raditaor cap off till the *-tat opens whis i did then i use the srcew to reassure myself
