nOS qUESTION
I just talked to 2 of my mechanic friends. They are saying that it'* safe to run 150 shots of NOS into my Bonnie ( 97 SSEI ) without having to mod the engine and tranny 
. I thought it was only safe to run 75 without mods 
. They are claiming you can definitely run at least 60% more horsepower and be safe for the engine. They claim that for normal once in a while weekend warrior race ( Tee hee... for some of you that knows me.. you know what I mean 
) that I can safely run 150 shots as long as I allow it to cool down.. or only 3 runs in a row ( the most ) then having to allow the engine to cool down. I haven't really messed with Nos... but I really never planned on doing Nos until I completed most of the mods I wanted to do, but if I'm able to get 150 shots in.. why not ?? Instant bragging rights :P

Nothing wrong with Nos but I would talk to thrasher about it. They are your best bet for real world numbers and information. They also offer a good quality kit.

As far as your question goes though, I havent really read up on whats safe. There are a couple of guys in the grand prix chat room next to ours on IRC that are running it on their GTP'*, but I've never really asked them what size and what mods they've done (most of them have done ALOT of mods!) I've never really been a big fan of NOS unless you are building an engine from the bare block up, and plan everything heavy duty to handle the power. I'm ont saying its not safe, and of course people add it to their fairly stock cars quite often, but I just think it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on many different points of an engine, especially if its not built up for it to begin with :?

.. I just got the car less then a month ago ( Thanx to the help of a lovely lady named "Tamara" ). I"ve gutted the airbox and ran a 3" Dryer duct from under the driver side fog lights into the airbox.. I'll probably change it to 4" dryer duct. The system seems alright.. I"m just too lazy to get a true CAI and having to have to remove it and replace the stock unit back in every season.. Summer.. nothing but greens.. winter.. nothing but white. I have changed to a 180 stat.. removed maf screen. I want to change to a 3.25 pulley, but apparently.. it seems I have no choice but to go with an aftermarket system ( Dial-Ur-Boost ?? ). Just found out the series one SC pulley wouldn't fit on my series 2 SC

WOW! A 150 shot is a ton! Can't see anything but problems going with a shot so big. Power like that finds ALL the weak spots 
I do think a 50-75 shot would be a real nice kick in the *** for your car though. And pretty "safe" too. I'm not a N.O.*. expect by any means so my opinion doesn't mean much, just adding my .02

Yea, the Series II motors use the Eaton M90 and the older Series I motors use the M62 which is a completely different unit (a bit smaller too) unfortunately making it impossible to swap the pulleys. I would suggest just replacing the nose drive with something like a Manguson from the grand prix store. That way you dont have to worry about wrecking the supercharger when pressing the bearing. Thraser'* new modular pulley system is lookin awefull nice too!
At least you have the option of swapping pulleys :(

www.3800performance.com has pulleys for your car. You don't have to go with the dial ur boost. I have a 3.4" on my car from them. It was the easiest horsepower I have ever gotten for under $80.

ITS NOT ABOUT THE ENGINE SO MUCH
the amount of NOS that your vehicle'* engine is not so much a question as is the amount of power that your tranny can handle, I think I'm right here, but I may be wrong, but I think that our trannies are only suitable up to 350-400 hp
