Comp 105 Valve Springs
I heard last night from a friend who is a member of a Grand Prix club site:
He recently heard a spate of 4 separate instances of valve spring breakage of the Comp 105'*. Not sure of the exact valve train set up of each of these, but he thought some of were running the VS cam - not a very radical cam, so not sure what could have caused the breakage.
I was planning to order these springs this spring (no pun intended). Has anyone else heard of any issues with these valve springs? I've put any plans to order these on hold until I can either confirm or deny any breakage and the details surrounding the possible cause.

I recently ordered my 105'* at Intense and Todd didn't mention anything. They'd never let someone buy something knowing there might be problems.

Thanks guys, hopefully we get some more feedback - I'm sure there are many others running these - any vendors hear anything?

I've heard nothing from other Forums so far. Not a peep. Only broken valvesprings here were stockers (in the last year).
I have Grand National 105# springs ready to go on one of my own cars, but they aren't beehives like yours.
CompCams hava anything to say about it? Knowing them, you won't pay a dime for replacements.

There was 1 instance where a comp spring broke, comp warrantied the spring(*), but not the engine damage.
The rest were broken valves.
