MSD coils/wires
I was checking my plugs today, and found that they were a tiny bit corroded/blackened. (Probably from when my mom borrowed the car and put Regular in it when she drove cross country ) So, I ordered some Autolite Coppers. I also figured that since I'm getting new plugs, I might as well get new coils/wires.
My question is, has anyone seen any performance gain/any reason in hell to buy MSD/"High performance" coils/wires?

From what I understand and that has been repeatedly mention on this forum, there'* really no such thing as 'performance wires'. What I mean by that is; you can lose a decent amount of performance from old wires, but there'* really no performance "gained" from better wires, just recovered by replacing old wires with new ones.
I got blue becuase I liked the color, same for Danthurs with red. (which I believe are those same wires he has)
What would make a difference is the thickness of the wires and how long they last.

I have MSD wires because I bought them with only a few thousand miles on them, and they were cheaper that way than brand new OE replacement wires. See if you can pick up some on ClubGP.com'* classifieds section. It will save you money over buying new AC Delco plug wires, but you won't gain anything from using them - just the awesome look of thick, red wires in the engine bay.

Most of the fastest cars run stock coils and wires. Our ignition system is very good from the factory and doesn't suffer like some of the other systems out there.
Me, I run a set of PRJ wires. I call them my Wyle Coyote Acme Surplus wires because of how thick they are. Then I mash then under the supercharger snount to get around the intercooler and never worry about pinching or hurting the core through the insulation.
Choose your wire based on what your needs/desires are and go from there, but unless you get cheap crap, nearly any of the wires on the market will treat you well.

MSD coils and wires are nearly the same as stock. I only went with them because I wanted red. It dresses up the engine bay nicely. Performance wise, no real change.

Wow down you got all the power'* at be to answer you question. And they are all right. Unless your coils are bad you should keep them and save money not like changing a distributor and rotor. And I'm boring with my stock looking A/C delco wires but they run awesome got them on sale too.
