South Dakota mandates in their gas too. And the way the state subsidizes it, the mid grade octane is the same price as the regular, the octane is boosted by ethanol...
I'm sure Iowa copied it from South Dakota.

My biggest problem is the car used to run well with 91. Now with the Jet chip, I can feel the difference between 91 and 92. It really favors 92. I have to hunt for it sometimes.
