perhaps the first question should have instead been 'do you do all these yourself or take them to a tuner store, or what?'

ahhh
i can do the simple things like that
(e.g. change the battery, mount a new headlight assembly, or tighten connections)
but things like modifying a tranny or changing spark plugs....
nah uh
but mostly it'* because i lack any advanced mechanical equipment or knowhow
and if i had the equipment i could learn...
i like to learn and take care of things

all you have to do is go to sears and spend a couple hundred dollars on a decent starter tool set and work up a bit of courage and you can do almost anything on the car
