Well Its not like im going to go hunting for an ssei before I know exactly what year I want. I know I cant afford an 98+ (lol, I only work half-year) and I know I dont want a 91 down. so 92-97 SSEI (color doesn't matter)

Questions:
DRL (day time running lights) how do they work, and what lights are used.
which produces the best boost, and hp/torque.
Needs rear air ride (or I would like it)
when do 4 wheel discs come out?
SIR (air bag) its sorta love./hate with these...
digital dash (dont want)
Navigation (dont want)
CD player (want)-
good stock speakers---- are they bose or demensional ? or ac/delco?
leather
sunroof
remote entry
lumbar suport

*mech.
Does the supercharger die after say 200,000? km or does it just keep on tickin?
how do I spot a messed up supercharger
How do people usually cover up the fact that they drove the bag off the car and the puffer.

*size
demensions of the lenth
...is it the same from 92-97?
wieght
..." "

Can I see some pictures of the different wheels that where avalible on the ssei from 92-97?
and sizes.
or a link to an informative site...

Thanks~

92-93 had 205hp and a ton of torque. 94/95 added 20hp. Kept a ton of torque. 96 and up went to 240hp, 280 torque (I think?). Torque is the key on all of these, not the hp.

DRL ? You won't find them in the early ninety'*.
Most have the ELC (electronic level control) and air struts in the rear.
4 wheel disc is 2000-up
SIR was dual front at LEAST in 93. Maybe 92.
No digital dash, but all SSEi'* will have the HUD.
Nav was not an option.
CD and Bose depended on years/options.
Leather is standard, most had the sunroof.
Remote entry and the 9-way dual buckets including lumbar and the 'love handle'* is standard on all SSEi'*.

The Supercharger (if properly cared for) will outlast any drivetrain. The high wear item is the nosedrive coupler, and can be purchased for 30 bucks. Maybe another 50 in gasgets and seals to change it yourself.

Noise is the key for a supercharger. If there'* very little to no noise at idle, and it produces nearly full-scale boost at WOT in gear, it should be good.

Same chassis from 92-99, but the body changed slightly in 96. (lower door panels, headlights, taillights, and spoiler are all slightly different in 96).
*size

WHEW!

Default sweet thanks.

thanks, your a big help

I quess Ill be looking into a 96 for that 280 ft lbs
with the air dam on these the fog lights are close together then on others there far apart in the corners.. is the ssei the one with the fog lights close together in front?

in canada everything made after 1990 had to by law have Day time running lights.
I asume there just the high beams (but with low power)
I would like to know if I could run them though the fog lights.. like on my trofeo (cuz it has no lights (there hidden)

1) The DRL'* work as soon as you put the car in reverse (Started in '96-present) and the regular 9006 bulbs are used (low beams).

2) The Award winning Series II 240hp 280 ft/lbs torqe SSEi Eaton 36 ( I think)

3) Standard load leveling spring and depending on the car you might get the computer command ride on it. THis is driver friendly for if you take a lot of curvey roads and prevent some body role by stiffening struts. The buttons say Normal or Touring Ride

4) As Bill said in 2000

5) Last SIR'* were in '95 SRS started in '96-present, second generation in '98

6) Bill said the HUD is the only digital you get on the windshield.

7) The compass is the only navigationn thats on there on the left side of the dashboard

Depends

9) 92-96 has either the 6-speaker or the premium 8-speaker system with the gain switch under the radio, 97-99 bose system 8-speakers both with Delco radio. 92-94 the radio had green display. From 95-present amber red display.

10) standard on SSEi

11) optional as Bill said

12) standard

13) As Bill said I heard its a 12-way seating for driver and passenger seats.

14) I am not sure

15) Being careless with it. Just like a motor, got to baby it as far as maintaining it.

16) I am not sure

17) Length 201.2 (92-95) 202.0 (96-99) SSEi'*/ Weight 3691 lbs 92-95 same

1 I can tell you the sizes but don't have a link. It'* 225-60-16

Hope this helps!

Default good to hear

I didnt think you could manualy change the ride hight/ stiffness in the rear. very cool.. very landroverish lol...
I think I could probably get a load 96 ssei for $8000 can. or a lil less if I didnt care about a few extra miles. The engine would be fine past 400,000km (ive tooken a 3.8 that far, well the last 100,00 anyway) not sure how the supercharger will like that many but oil changed and not bagged it should run forever...

now *this should be the least of my worries* but insurance
Do companys view it as a family sedan.. or a supercharged luxery wagon waiting to pull money from there deep pockets?
