Default 98 and newer l67 heads?

will these fit on a my 1997 l67?
I want some to port match to my LIM and such.
I figure I should get the newer ones to save a little money on valve springs.

Anyone have any for sale? If so shoot me a PM.

Yeah they'll fit but what do you mean that it will save $ for valve springs. You'll need 105 or 90 lb springs with 1.9'*.

Something about the 97 head castings having a problem cracking around the valve seat with higher spring pressures. I dunno though.

with 1997 heads you have to use the comp cam 105'* and they are twice as much as LS6 springs

That may be true but LS6 springs have a higher spring rate as they are compressed. They actually exceed 105# springs at maximum lift. So with 90# springs you'll be putting more ware on your timing chain and dampener.

here was a design change somewhere in the 1997 model year to reduce the diameter of the valve boss area above the spring seat. Some 97 will fit the LS6 springs, but even then, there were several design changes to the springs as well as multiple suppliers.

1997 aren't statistically more prone to cracks between the valve seats, and certainly aren't the only years experiencing cracks.
